A not so funny story Thanks to you all for a great event very much appreciated. My not so funny story after my 13th consecutive finish from 13 starts I had my bike and helmet stolen out of my garage in Ascot on Sunday evening 29th June 2008. It is a 2006 TM 250 E which has some identifying marks on it……the Welsh mud had been removed!! They also took a brand new Silver AIROH helmet which I purchased at the Welsh unfortunately they weren’t smart enough to take the lining which was drying. I can be contacted on 07831432758 and would offer a reward for information which leads to the recovery of the bike. If you can publish my news just in case some one is offered the bike or helmet shell. Hopefully I will see you all next year. Thanks again for all your hard work. A supportive Riders view
Mike and all,
I would like to take the opportunity
to thank you and the rest of the troops for another fantastic
Welsh 2 Day Enduro.
The organisation was, as ever,
brilliant and saw us on the start line with minimum fuss. The
fun really started then!
I guess our naive hopes for sunshine
were bound to be dashed but it wouldn't be the Welsh without mud
would it?
Those marshals in the bogs on the
3rd check (day 2) were absolute heroes. Looking like swamp
monsters they must have worked like dogs hauling hundreds of
bikes all morning.
I found it all to much by the second
test so gained my first Welsh DNF.
I hope we will return to Llandrindod
Wells next year. It's a great setting. I heard a few rumours
that things may be moved elsewhere which would be a great shame.
